I’m writing this post as I am on my way back from a great weekend in Arkansas! We flew out on Friday to spend the weekend celebrating our niece’s first birthday (which is on Tuesday) and her Baptism!
She got to try cake for the first time, and I think she liked it.
We also got to do some running while we were out there (one of my favorite things about the area is the perfect running trail right up the street from my SIL’s house).
Soon it will be back to reality, until I go away again in 4 days! So for now, here is how my week of workouts looked.
Monday: 5.1 miles with hill repeats, core/hip exercises. It was raining, so I wore a hat, but then my headlamp wasn’t bright enough. I ended up wrapping it around my hand which helped a little but obviously the light moved around a lot as I swung my arms!
Tuesday: 3.2 miles easy, CXWORX on YouTube
Wednesday: 5.75 miles with 4 @ 7:30 pace, core work
Thursday: Strength training, 30 minutes yoga
Friday: 4 easy miles plus core and hip exercises. It was 65 degrees and humid! I was sweating in shorts and a long-sleeved T-shirt.
Saturday: 7 miles on the Lake Fayetteville Trail in Arkansas with Rob
Sunday: 4 miles on the trail before heading to the airport
Total: 29.06 miles
Walked: 18.3 Push-ups: 4 days
Yearly Total: 574
It’s nice to get in a Sunday run when traveling, because then I make Monday a rest day. I wouldn’t have been too excited to run back in Baltimore where it’s supposed to be cold and windy.
