15 Minute Quick Strength Workout

I’ve been meaning to write a recap of the 10 mile race I ran on Saturday, but I just haven’t gotten around to it and sharing this workout seemed easier for today:) 

On Monday I wanted to get some strength work in since recently I’ve only been making it to body pump once  a week. I didn’t have a lot of time after my run so I grabbed some 8 pound weights and got through this strength workout in 15 minutes. It’s not nearly as challenging as body pump but it works most major muscle groups in a short amount of time. If you don’t have an hour to go to the gym, I always say it’s better to do something than nothing!

You could even repeat more than once if you have some extra time. When I strength train on my own I usually  do 15 reps of a move, for 3 sets. So, to save time I upped the reps to 20 and only included 2 sets. It adds a little challenge to do 20 reps straight, plus there are no breaks included so I was a little out of breath at times (especially after the push-ups!)
